Q: How does The Nature Conservancy use the donation I make through this gift catalog?

A: The offerings in this catalog describe examples of conservation work that The Nature Conservancy does around the world. When you donate through this catalog, you are making a symbolic gift that supports The Nature Conservancy’s overall mission. Your donation will help support our work to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.

 

Q: How long will it take for my free gift to arrive?

A: The e-card and printable card recognizing your donation will be available online immediately after your payment is made. You will also receive your thank you letter and any mailed items within 3-4 weeks maximum or by the stated delivery date

 

Q: What is the deadline to receive the plush animal or certificate by mail in time for Christmas?

A: If you make a donation before 12:00 a.m. midnight on December 15, 2016 (U.S. Pacific time), all mailed items recognizing that donation will reach their destination on or before December 25, 2016 (Christmas Day).

 

Q: Can I have the plush or certificate sent to my gift recipients via FedEx or priority mail?

A: Only standard mail delivery is available to send recognition items to gift recipients.

 

Q: Can the plush or certificate be sent to recipients outside the U.S.?

A: Unfortunately, we are not able to mail to gift recipients with mailing addresses outside the U.S. at this time.

 

Q: Is there a way for me to personalize the certificate for my gift recipient?

A: The certificate sent by mail will be personalized with your gift recipient’s name only. You can add a personal note or other personalization to the e-card and printable online card if you wish to do so.

 

Q: Can I resend the e-card?

A: Yes, you can resend an e-card to your gift recipient at any time by clicking on the link in the confirmation email you receive after making your donation.

 

Q: I made a mistake! Can I correct the information on my gifts through the catalog?

A: Please call our Member Care team at 800-628-6860 and we’ll be happy to correct your mistake.

 

Q: Is an email required to make a donation to TNC through the catalog?

A: Yes, however if you do not have an email or do not wish to share it you can contact our Member Care team at 800-628-6860 and we’ll be happy to process your gift by phone.

 

Q: Can a catalog donation be made in honor of a child?

A: Yes, gift recipients will not be added to our mailing list or receive any additional mailings other than the mailing of the items related to the catalog donation in their honor.

 

Q: Will I receive member benefits when I make a donation to TNC through the catalog?

A: Catalog donations are not treated like regular membership gifts, so they do not entitle you to Conservancy member benefits or renew your membership.

 

Q: What is Shopify?

A: Shopify is simply the company providing the web platform that the Conservancy’s gift catalog is built upon. Rest assured that 100% of your gift goes directly to The Nature Conservancy.

 

Q: Is my donation to TNC through the catalog tax- deductible?

A: Your donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law. The amount of your donation that is tax-deductible depends on whether or not a recognition item was selected and the amount donated. Please refer to the mailed acknowledgment letter to determine what portion of your donation is tax-deductible.
